How To Use
Remember the first few times you used tampons? Well, Softcup is just as simple once you understand the steps. At first it may seem awkward to insert or remove Softcup. That’s OK—most women experience that. Start your trial on a lighter flow day or at bedtime as you get to know how your body works with Softcup. You may want to wear a panty liner or pad to protect against leakage your first few times until you feel comfortable placing Softcup. After a few uses you’ll understand how often you need to change Softcup on a heavy flow day. Remember, Softcup must be removed, rinsed and reinserted after 12 hours.
First Time Users
Let’s set you up for using Softcup for the very first time, here are a few tips:
From one women to another…Is it always important to practice inserting Softcup on your lighter flow days at first, don’t do this for the first time on a heavy flow day as it will leak (insure you are wearing a pad or a panty liner). Inserting Softcup compared to all the years of practice you’ve had inserting a tampon are very different, so make sure you get some practice and get comfortable with Softcup before using it for your first or second heavy flow days.
It is also completely same to practice inserting and removing Softcup when you are not even on your period.By doing this you will be able to see what it feels like, where is first and get used to inserting and removing it without the added extra stress of doing this while you are on your period for the first time.
Step By Step Guide

Wash your hands and relax. Sit on the toilet with your knees apart.
Hold Softcup so the bottom of the cup hangs down. Squeeze the opposite sides of the rim together.

Keeping the rim pressed together, insert Softcup completely into your vagina. Use your finger to push Softcup downward and back as far as it will go. It will slide into place under the cervix and behind the pubic bone. You can also twist the cup into place as shown in the video clip above.
When Softcup is inserted properly, you shouldn’t feel it.

If you feel something in the vaginal canal, the cup is probably not placed far enough inside you. Just remove and try again.

To remove Softcup, we recommend sitting on the toilet with your knees apart. Insert your finger into the vagina. Feel your pubic bone—the Softcup rim will be right behind it. Hook your finger under the rim. If you have trouble hooking your finger, just bear or push down with your pelvic muscles. Slowly pull Softcup out of your body keeping it horizontal and level.
